Initial and Summative ELPAC Domains and Task Types

The ELPAC assesses the ELP of K–12 students who are ELs or potential EL students in California public schools in four domains: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.

The task types assessed in each of the Initial ELPAC domains in K–12 are listed in tables 1–4 below.
